In the context of strengthening partnership and cooperation with various concerned parties to serve scientific research in the social, humanitarian, developmental and reconstruction field, a cooperation and partnership agreement was signed on Thursday 24th of June 2021, between the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media - Aden, and the Agriculture Research and Extension Authority in Aden, on how to implement a joint plan in the field of research, studies, programs and training.

 

The agreement, which was signed by the Director of the Yemen Information Center, Eng. Ahmed Saeed Al-Wahish, and from the other side, the head of the General Research Authority, Dr. Abdullah Alwan, included the adoption of joint productions that support research work according to the capabilities of the two parties and their work plans, and the implementation of joint awareness and educational programs concerning the research and development aspect, and the organization of joint conferences and workshops agreed upon by both parties.

 

After the signature, Eng. Al-Wahish praised the great role played by the Agriculture Research and Extension Authority in implementing various programs related to the field of research and academic studies to serve and develop the agricultural sector, which contributes to improving food security in Yemen, in addition to many other research activities, explaining that the YIC is operating in the field of studies, research and media, and has many activities, programs and related publications, as well as  aims to strengthen cooperation among various parties to support all efforts made by concerned parties to bring peace and national reconciliation, contribute to restoring social and national cohesion among the people of the country, in addition to  spreading the culture tolerance and peaceful coexistence in society in order to establish security and stability.

 

For his part, Dr. Alwan pointed out the importance of this agreement, which supports the objectives of the authority in developing research, academic and media work in various fields, especially in the development and economic field, and to disseminate these outputs for the benefit of the various segments of society, which will contribute to more agricultural stability and joint work in promoting the efforts exerted with all parties concerned in order to achieve social peace, and the trend towards community service in the process of reconstruction, development and stability.
