The International Language and Training Institute (ILTI) is a subsidiary of Yemen Information Centre (YIC). We provide a broad range of intensive year-round language services for students, companies, organizations, and individuals interested in learning the English language. We are committed to delivering high-quality training courses on key issues related to professional development, the empowerment of women and youth, and skills development.

Within the framework of its humanitarian and scientific interests and on the basis of its duties, responsibilities, and orientations towards serving women's issues and comprehensive development areas, Yemen Information Centre (YIC) will- soon- publish a monthly specialized newsletter in the field of women and humanitarian issues titled, "Women in Development and Peace."

Its zero issue will be published on Jun 1st, 2022 in Arabic, and the upcoming issues will be published in Arabic, English and French.

In cooperation with The Gender Development Research & Studies Center at Sana'a University, Yemen Information Center YIC held a workshop entitled (The impact of Modern Technologies on the Development and Reconstruction), which included a set of working papers on many aspects related to reconstruction.

Yemen Information Center signed a partnership and cooperation agreement with Ibb University on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, which requires exchange of experiences and research, promotion of cooperation between the two sides and an effective partnership to achieve the goals of both sides in publishing scientific research in various media.

Yemen Information Center was represented by the center's Vice President of Strategic Affairs, director of Ibb office, Dr. Abdul Qawi Al-Shamiri, whereas University of Ibb was represented by the university president Dr. Tariq Al-Mansoub.

On Thursday, September 2, 2021, YIC for Research, Development Studies and Media Production (Ibb Office) signed an agreement of cooperation and institutional partnership with Al-Jazeera University, Ibb.

In the agreement, YIC was represented by Dr. Abdul-Kawi Al-Shamiri, Vice President of the Center for Strategic Affairs and Ibb Office Director, as the second party, while Al-Jazeera University was represented by Prof. Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Haboob, President of the University, as the first party.

Yemen Information for studies and research team visited the Remote Sensing Center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Sana'a on Monday, July 5, 2021, to study the points of cooperation, and partnership between Yemen Information Center and research and studies centers and universities.

 The meeting attended by the Deputy Head of Yemen Information Center, Engineer Abdul Wahab Al-Aqel, and the Head of the Remote Sensing Center, Dr. Khaled Khanbari discussed horizons of their mutual relations and its importance in remote sensing technology for promoting joint action in research, social, humanitarian, and development aspects, beside sharing experiences, scientific and research information, and implementing programs and training activities in various disciplines and fields, most importantly in development.

On Sunday 4th of July 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media in Sana'a signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Center for Gender and Development Research and Studies at Sana'a University to promote joint work in the field of studies and programs.

The agreement includes activities related to the developmental, educational, social and humanitarian fields, as well as the various activities of the YIC and the Gender Center.

The agreement, which was signed by the Vice President of the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media in Sana'a, Eng. Abd Al- Wahab Al-Aqel, and the Head of the Center for Gender and Development Research and Studies, Dr. Halima Jahaf, included the most important plans, programs and details to promote joint work in the research, social, humanitarian and development fields, as well as the exchange of experiences and scientific information and research, implementing training programs and activities in various disciplines and fields, joint coordination by holding scientific conferences and symposia, and meeting joint scientific and research productions that support research work

On 30th of June 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Educational Research and Development Center in Aden, to enhance the field of research, studies and scientific programs, within the framework of joint cooperation with various concerned parties to serve scientific research in the social, humanitarian, developmental and reconstruction field. 

The agreement was signed by the Director of the Yemen Information Center, Eng. Ahmed Saeed Al-Wahish, and from the other side, the head of the Educational Research and Development Center, Dr. Abdul Ghani Ahmed Al-Shawthby.

On June 30th 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media and the Marine Science & Biological Research Authority in Aden Governorate signed a memorandum of understanding that includes joint cooperation on the exchange of experiences in the field of research, studies, awareness and media education.

The Director General of the Center, Eng. Ahmed Saeed Al-Wahsih signed the agreement on behalf of the Center, while the head of the Authority, Dr. Hana Rashid Ahmed Taher signed on behalf of the General Authority for Research.

The agreement stipulated the joint benefit of specialized academic and applied research in various fields related to the work of the two parties through the exchange of recent studies, and the development of a joint work plan in the field of studies, research, programs, training and related activities.

On Monday, June 28th 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Research, Developmental Studies and Media Production (YIC) organized a workshop on “The Impact of Urban Expansion on Agricultural Development - Ibb Governorate”, in cooperation with Future University in the capital Sana'a.

The workshop, which was attended by the former governor of Ibb Governorate, member of the Shura Council Judge Ahmed Abdullah Al-Hajri, the members of the Shura Council, Dr. Yahya Jahaf, Muhammad Ayed Al-Nusairi and head of the Yemeni Remote Sensing Center (YRSC) Dr. Khaled Khanbari, as well as head of  Agricultural Research and Extension Authority, Dr. Abdullah Al-Olafi, and the President of the Future University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Nuwaihi, presented a working paper from the Executive Director of the Partners- Yemen Organization, Abdulhakim Al-Afiri entitled “Approaching the Yemeni urban phenomenon from an economic point of view” in which he reviewed the transformation of some rural areas into urban cities at the expense of agricultural lands.

 A special meeting was held today, June 27, 2021, between Yemen Information Center for Research and Media in Sana'a, and Gender-Development Research and Study Center in Sana'a to reflect on business contributions points.

In the context of strengthening partnership and cooperation with various concerned parties to serve scientific research in the social, humanitarian, developmental and reconstruction field, a cooperation and partnership agreement was signed on Thursday 24th of June 2021, between the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media - Aden, and the Agriculture Research and Extension Authority in Aden, on how to implement a joint plan in the field of research, studies, programs and training.

The agreement, which was signed by the Director of the Yemen Information Center, Eng. Ahmed Saeed Al-Wahish, and from the other side, the head of the General Research Authority, Dr. Abdullah Alwan, included the adoption of joint productions that support research work according to the capabilities of the two parties and their work plans, and the implementation of joint awareness and educational programs concerning the research and development aspect, and the organization of joint conferences and workshops agreed upon by both parties.

On 21st of June 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media (YIC) in Sana'a signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with Alnokhbah International University in Sana'a to promote joint work in the field of studies, programs and events related to the developmental, educational, social and humanitarian fields, and the various different means of ownership of the centre. 

The agreement, which was signed by the director of the center in Aden, Eng. Ahmed Saeed Al-Wahish on behalf of the Center, and the president of the university in Aden, Dr. Abdul Ghani Ahmad Hamid, on behalf of the university, included how to enhance ways of joint cooperation in exchanging scientific and research experiences and information, and implementing training programs and activities in various disciplines and fields, as well as joint coordination by holding scientific conferences and seminars, and meeting joint scientific and research productions that support research work.

On 20th of June 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media (YIC) in Aden signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the University of Science & Technology in Aden, to promote joint work on the research, social, humanitarian and development aspects, and the various different means of ownership of the centre.

The agreement, which was signed by the vice president of the center in Sana’a, the engineer Abd Al- Wahab Al-Aqel on behalf of the center, and the vice-president of the university, Dr. Alawi Ahmad Al-Najjar on behalf of the university, included how to enhance ways of joint cooperation in exchanging scientific and research experiences and information

On the 8th of June 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Studies, Research and Media (YIC) concluded a session on art of writing in the journalistic work with the trainer Dr. Muhammad Hadi Akhrash.

This session, in which the directors of the center's departments, the media department staff, and the press participated, is part of the center's research and media activities, which aim to train and qualify the center's staff and raise their scientific and professional level.

The participants in the session received general concepts about the basics of drafting a press release, the way to write news headlines and the methods of news coverage.

The Yemen Information Center for Research, Developmental Studies and Media Production held in Ibb on Sunday at Tamdeen Center for Sustainable Training and Rehabilitation, a seminar entitled “Economic Empowerment of Women in Ibb:  Obstacles, Opportunities and Successes”.

The seminar was presented and moderated by the media coordinator of the Yemen Information Center (Ibb), Ms. Samah Emlaak and then the Director of the Center Dr. Abdul Qawi Al-Shamiri welcomed the attendees, and reviewed the Yemen Information Center’s tasks and interests, while Dr. Shura Al-Baadani, Director of Women’s Department at the Youth and Sports Office, presented the seminar papers and reviewed examples of women who overcame the crisis with their own efforts and supporters. Dr. Jalal Al-Madhaji, head of the sociology department at Ibb University, spoke about the barriers to empowerment and the difficulties of advancement for women in Ibb.

Yemen Information Center (YIC) launched its bi-monthly newspaper published in Yemen named “Sawt Al-Amal (Voice of Hope)”, managed by Yemeni staff living in Yemen.

Sawt Al-Amal (Voice of Hope) is specialized in handling development and social issues, spreading the culture of tolerance, peace and national reconciliation. Sawt Al-Amal (Voice of Hope) seeks to support community efforts and initiatives to end the suffering of Yemenis in its publications, and to address the impacts of the ongoing conflicts that have been raging for decades. The newspaper is also interested in raising and studying the systematic issues that hinder the course of peace, development and reconstruction.
