On June 30th 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media and the Marine Science & Biological Research Authority in Aden Governorate signed a memorandum of understanding that includes joint cooperation on the exchange of experiences in the field of research, studies, awareness and media education.

The Director General of the Center, Eng. Ahmed Saeed Al-Wahsih signed the agreement on behalf of the Center, while the head of the Authority, Dr. Hana Rashid Ahmed Taher signed on behalf of the General Authority for Research.

 

The agreement stipulated the joint benefit of specialized academic and applied research in various fields related to the work of the two parties through the exchange of recent studies, and the development of a joint work plan in the field of studies, research, programs, training and related activities to meet a joint scientific production that supports the research and media work of both parties, in addition to work for the implementation and processing of various research related to areas of joint work, and the implementation of awareness and educational programs on the research and developmental side.

 

After signing, Eng. Al-Wahish explained that this signature comes within the framework of strengthening partnership and cooperation with various concerned parties to serve scientific and media research in the social, humanitarian, developmental and construction field, and that the Marine Science & Biological Authority has a large stock of fisheries experiments and research that needs to be benefited from by publishing it in order for all workers to promote awareness and community education among the fishermen's communities about the fishery activity, that is, to enhance all efforts made by the various parties and concerned parties in rebuilding, rehabilitating and developing the community, achieving social peace, and educating the community about all issues that affect their lives and their stability.

 

In the same context, Dr. Hana stressed on the importance of this agreement, which contributes to the development of joint research, academic and media work in the service of the Authority in particular and the community mainly, and the strengthening of scientific and research cooperation between the two parties through the exchange of experiences and information in various fields related to enhancing security and stability as well as improving the economic and social situation in the country.
