Yemen Information Center (YIC) Signs a Cooperation and Partnership Agreement with the Center for Gender and Development Research and Studies in Sana'a

On Sunday 4th of July 2021, the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media in Sana'a signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Center for Gender and Development Research and Studies at Sana'a University to promote joint work in the field of studies and programs.

The agreement includes activities related to the developmental, educational, social and humanitarian fields, as well as the various activities of the YIC and the Gender Center.

 

The agreement, which was signed by the Vice President of the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media in Sana'a, Eng. Abd Al- Wahab Al-Aqel, and the Head of the Center for Gender and Development Research and Studies, Dr. Halima Jahaf, included the most important plans, programs and details to promote joint work in the research, social, humanitarian and development fields, as well as the exchange of experiences and scientific information and research, implementing training programs and activities in various disciplines and fields, joint coordination by holding scientific conferences and symposia, and meeting joint scientific and research productions that support research work

 

The signature of the agreement was attended by the Vice President of the Gender Center, Dr. Saleh Hamid, Manager of Programs and Training Department at YIC, Arwad Al-Khatib, and Nada Al-Bakari, Manager of Public Relations at YIC.

After the signature, Eng. Abd Al-Wahab Al-Aqel stated that the cooperation and partnership agreement between the Yemen Information Center for Research and Media and the Gender Center will contribute to the service of scientific research, implementing programs and training activities, building an information base on various social and development issues, and supporting all areas of development with various research and studies.

 

Al-Aqel stressed on the importance of laying the foundations for effective joint cooperation to achieve common goals that are in the interest of society, and to enhance the educational and applied research process in various disciplines.

For her part, Dr. Halima Jahaf stressed on the importance of supporting research studies related to the social, humanitarian, and developmental aspects in various societal issues and fields, supporting all joint scientific and specialized research efforts, adopting the most important of these research studies and publishing them in the media, which contributes to the development of the country in various economic, developmental and social fields.
